I was down in Wildwood at the end of June to celebrate my son's 16th birthday. The weather was pleasant and we had a great time. Here are some pictures and observations:
This new game is at the old Olympic block. I think you need to shoot balls into the volcano or bowls.
So the door at the back of the 99 Cents store at the Strand Theater block was open and I could see into what used to be the movie theater. Nothing remains of the theater....all the seats/carpet/walls were removed and it is just a big storage area now.
So Sweet was finally open and the floor has a neat epoxy paint coating on it.
The Paintball neon signs either look new or repaired.
We saw them getting ready to open "The Pirates of Wildwood" on Saturday so we were first to hop in line. The workers told us that we were the first people to ride it since it was last open in 2019. Not much has changed, but we were glad to see it open again. It didn't take long for a big line to form to get on it.
The Balloon Race was also open after being closed since 2019.
On Saturday, the lines were huge on all the rides at night. These are the longest lines I remember seeing in a long time. It might be a sign that things are back to normal.
My son got his driver's permit and I actually took him out for some practice driving in Wildwood...which isn't the best place to start driving but he did well.
The last time i seen your son, bill, he was a little kid. Times does fly🥲
