Here is a look back to 2012 when Morey's Piers ran Morey's Fears for the second and last year.
My son in front of the Morey's Fears entrance.
The spooky teacups.
They added some extra gore to the Ghost Shop.
They changed Pirates of Wildwood into "The Other Side".
Spooky ambience.
They added a corn maze on the beach at the back of the pier.
The lazy river was converted into Terror Trench....a zombie experience.
Carnevil was probably the most intense experience. It was like a circus show...but then all these super bright lights turned on and dozens of evil clowns came running out with chain saws and axes and hammers. It gave my son a good scare.
The graveyard of ride parts.
They had some great seasonal treats...like soup in bread bowls.
It was really a good time and I would like to see them bring it back. Hurricane Sandy cut it short and it never recovered.
Great retro report. I sadly never got to experience it, the year I wanted to was the year it was cancelled. I really think it'd be good if they can incorporate this to a smaller degree. Heck, open the Ghost Ship and put some other haunted stuff outside and around the ship and I can guarantee that will draw a nice little crowd in addition to the folks at Oktoberfest.
It was really a shame that it didn't last but between Sandy in 2012 and the freak snow storm the year before I can understand why Morey did away with it. We would have made a long weekend trip and attended had it lasted another year. Great photos!
It truly was an amazing experience. Its a shame it’s probably never to happen again
