Wildwood Vacation, 1960

I watched the video several times to see what sights and attractions were on the boardwalk in 1960. Aside from the fact that you could get pizza slices for 20-cents and play miniature golf for 25-cents...

The main thing that caught my eye is the attraction on Sportland Pier that looks like a big globe, at about 2:33 (It's either an actual sphere shaped structure or a cut-out flat front painted to look like a globe). The footage is too grainy to read the signs but it looks like some of the wording reads... "LIFE" (like the magazine?)... "YOU ARE THERE"... "Re-live" -or- "Real Life"... "Action". There is a black sign to the right of the front of the attraction that lists what you will "See", unfortunately I can't make out what the wording is.

Does anyone remember this or know anything about what it was? I don't recall seeing it on any old postcards or in any pictures (unless I missed it). I wonder if it was some type of early Cinema 180-type attraction that showed a movie inside, or if it was a museum-type grind show with exhibits, artifacts, scenes or pictures inside (or was it a ride?!).

Thanks for posting! I like it in also incorporates the drive down in the footage. That is such an important part of the vacation...the roads we drive, memories on the parkway, landmarks we see (ok, mainly rest stops! ) . I try to do that when I record my vacation videos too. Great footage over all. Joey (from Wildwood Video Archive) was saying he's been buying reels and videos from the 60's-90's and have been digitizing. Said he has a whole box full!
